No gas in parts of Dhaka, Savar and southern districts for 48 hours

Gas supply will remain suspended for 48 hours from 10 p.m. on May 3 in different areas of Dhaka city and its adjoining areas.

According to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, areas that will have no gas supply during the period include Amin Bazar, Hemayetpur, Savar EPZ, Ashulia, Manikganj, Dhamrai.

Additionally, some areas of Dhaka city may experience low gas supply pressure during the same period, including Gabtoli, Mazar Road, Kalyanpur, Shyamoli, Mirpur, Mohammadpur and Dhanmondi, Titas said in a statement. hurry.

Meanwhile, the Gas Transmission Company of Bangladesh (GTCL) has announced in a public notice that it will suspend gas supply to two high-pressure pipelines for maintenance and replacement work for 48 hours from 10 p.m. hours on May 3.

The high pressure gas pipelines are the 20 inch diameter Dhanua-Savar gas transmission line and the 30 inch diameter gas transmission line from the east end to the west end of the Bangabandhu Bridge.

Due to these maintenance and replacement works of the two high pressure pipelines, gas supply may be interrupted for power plants, industries, CNG stations, residential consumers in Dhaka and Savar under the areas of command of Titas Gas and also the areas of South-western districts under the Sundarban Gas Company Limited.
